Barbecue and Beats Festival

Description

The very first Barbecue and Beats Festival will be happening at CityPlace Expo Center in LaGrange on Saturday, October 23, 2021. The event has been created to pair great food and great music together for a great cause. Porkland BBQ has a great menu planned that includes meats, sides, desserts. Try a pulled pork sandwich, a BBQ taco or even the "Churched Up" Tater Tots. There will also be a vendor selling specialty lemonades and iced teas along with hot dogs. 

The event is being organized to help raise funds for The Veteran’s Club. This young nonprofit serves military personnel and their families by “Providing Connection, Healing, Recovery and Housing for the Veteran Community”. The organization provides many services to veterans some of which include: a nationally recognized Equine Therapy Program, helping with Career Transitions, Family Outreach Programs, Homeless Veteran Housing Program, and Recreational Therapy Programs. 

In addition to good food, attendees can: •Listen to live music, guests can bring lawn chairs and stay for the whole event. •Enter the family-friendly corn hole tournament. Teams will be formed by blind draw. Entry is just $10 per person and includes an event t-shirt. •Kids will enjoy the inflatables, pumpkin painting and other fall-themed activities. Admission is just $5 per person. Children ages 12 and under are free. Tickets will be sold at the door. If you would like to participate as a vendor it is just $25.
